Troubleshooting Calibration Issues on Parklio™ Chain

Troubleshooting Calibration Issues on Parklio™ Chain

If you perform a calibration on the Chain barrier but the correct position is not displayed in the app — and you receive messages that the barrier is opening or closing followed by a timeout error — the first step is to check the magnetic switch.

How to Check the Magnetic Switch

  1. Disconnect the wires leading from the magnetic switch to the Parklio™ Brain device.

  2. Set your multimeter to the buzzing (continuity) mode, as shown in the reference image.

  3. Connect the wires from the Brain to the multimeter probes.

  4. Run the calibration again. When the inner spring of the Chain reaches the magnetic switch, the multimeter should emit a buzzing sound.

If the multimeter buzzes, the magnetic switch is functioning correctly and accurately detecting the position. In this case, the issue is most likely with the Parklio™ Brain device.
