Slave Unit Does Not Fully Close – Power Supply Cable Check

Slave Unit Does Not Fully Close – Power Supply Cable Check

If the slave unit of the Parklio™ Chain Barrier does not fully close, as shown in Picture 1, the most common cause is an insufficient or incorrect power supply cable between the master and slave units.

Possible Cause

The slave unit may not be receiving enough power due to:

  • Incorrect cable cross-section for the installed distance

  • Voltage drop caused by undersized cables

As a result, the motor may not have sufficient power to complete the closing cycle.

Required Power Supply Cables

As specified in the user manual and on our support page:
https://support.parklio.com/portal/en/kb/articles/electrical-connections-for-installation

The cable cross-section must match the distance between the master and slave unit:

  • Up to 5 meters
Use cables with a minimum cross-section of 1.5 mm²

  • From 5 to 18 meters
Use cables with a minimum cross-section of 2.5 mm²

  • Long distances (18–20 meters)
Use cables with a minimum cross-section of 5 mm²

Recommendation

Please verify:

  • The actual distance between the master and slave units

  • The installed cable cross-section

If the cable does not meet the requirements listed above, replace it with the correct specification to ensure reliable and complete operation of the slave unit.

If the issue persists after confirming the correct cabling, contact Parklio support for further assistance.
