App Force-Stopped When Sending Command to Gate

App Force-Stopped When Sending Command to Gate

If the Parklio Connect app crashes or force closes when sending an open command to the gate, it usually means that Permanent Open mode is enabled while the gate has been manually closed.

How to Verify the Issue

  1. Open the Gate’s top cover.

  2. Locate the electronic control board and find its display.

  3. If you see a line on the display marking AP or an opening command (see reference image), it means the Permanent Open mode is still active.

Note: The Parklio™ Brain device keeps the Permanent Open option active even after a reset.

How to Solve the Problem

  1. Unlock the arm of the Gate.

  2. Manually push the arm up to the upright (open) position.

  3. Lock the arm again.

  4. Connect to the Gate via the Parklio Connect App.

  5. Check the Permanent Open option:

    • If it is ON: Turn it OFF and wait until the arm moves down to the start position.

    • If it is OFF: Turn it ON, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it OFF again. The arm will then return to its normal starting position.

Summary

A force stop of the app during a command usually points to a conflict caused by the Permanent Open mode. By checking the Gate’s display and adjusting the Permanent Open setting through the app, the issue can be quickly resolved.
