Parklio Gate got stuck in "Permanent open" mode

If, for any reason, the Parklio Gate arm remains in the open position and cannot be closed via the Parklio Connect app, it is very likely that the arm has become stuck in a permanent open position or that the Gate is continuously receiving a command to remain open. Of course, this assumes that all other components are properly wired, powered, and functioning correctly.

In that case, you should check if the following light on the Gate's electronics board, after we press test it would be lightening in red:



If the LED lights up red, this indicates that something is holding the barrier in the OPEN position. The next step is to determine whether the Parklio Brain is sending the command to keep the barrier permanently open. To check this, unplug the following green connector connected to the marked field on the Parklio Brain:


After unplugging the connector shown in the image above, the red LED on the Gate’s electronics board should turn off:



If this happens, it means that, as mentioned above, the Parklio Brain was sending a command to the Gate to keep the arm in the OPEN position. However, the Parklio Connect app does not reflect this state correctly—the Permanent Open option appears to be disabled in the app, even though it is actually enabled on the Gate.




To disable the Permanent Open mode, perform the following steps:

  1. Plug the connector back into the Parklio Brain.

  2. Reset the Parklio Brain by pressing and holding the Reset button for 5–10 seconds.

  3. Once the reset is complete, connect the Parklio Brain to the Parklio Connect app.

  4. In the Parklio Connect app, turn the Permanent Open option on and then turn it off again.

  5. Use the Force Down option followed by the Force Up option in the Parklio Connect app. This will allow the Gate to recalibrate and remember its current position.


Once this procedure is completed, the Permanent Open mode should be removed, and the Gate should return to normal operation.
