How to Bypass Photocells on Chain

How to Bypass Photocells on Chain

⚠️ Warning: Bypassing photocells removes safety detection — the Chain will operate without obstacle detection. This should only be done for testing/diagnostic purposes or if photocells are not installed.

Method 1: Hardware Bypass (Jumper) If photocells are not installed or you need to bypass them:
1. Connect with jumper cable connections 5 and 9 on older type of electronic board
2. Connect with jumper cable connections 6 and 10 on new type of electronic board

If client is not sure which type of electronic board is in Chain, support team must be contacted.

Method 2: Disable Photocell Test Function If the photocell test is causing issues (blocking operation on startup), you can disable it:
1. Raise the chain to its UP position (fully closed)
2. Press and hold the RED button
3. After 4–5 seconds, the LED executes 8 flashes (entering learning mode)
4. Keep holding — count the flash sequences
5. At 2 flashes (2nd function = Photocell Test), release the RED button
6. LED shows current status: slow flash = enabled, fast flash = disabled
7. Press the BLUE button to deactivate the photocell test
8. To exit: move selector Sw1 to manual, wait 1–2 sec, then back to automatic

⚠️ Note Safety Without photocells, the Chain has no obstacle detection — use caution! Temporary only re-enable photocells once the issue is resolved.
Calibration - After any changes, ensure photocells are clear of obstructions and run a calibration if needed.
