Barrier operates too slow

If the barrier goes too slowly, charge the battery; if that does not help, update the  barrier firmware through the barrier settings:

Connect to Barrier
Go to Settings
Put mobile phone on the Barrier case
Click update firmware

if the Update link doesn't exist, it means it's up to date. At the moment last update for barrier's firmware is 1.4.8. and you can find that information on the bottom of settings page.
If nothing above helps, there might be a problem with the tube, which needs to be replaced.
