How Auto-Close Mode Works for Barriers
Auto-close mode for Barriers operates in the following sequence:
-
The Barrier lowers
Once the system is triggered, the Barrier lowers to allow vehicle access.
-
The vehicle parks
The vehicle must park over the sensor.
-
The vehicle remains over the sensor for more than 60 seconds
The sensor requires the vehicle to remain stationary for at least 60 seconds.
-
The vehicle moves away in one continuous motion
The vehicle must leave the area without stopping or pausing.
-
The barrier closes automatically
After the vehicle leaves, the Barrier will auto-close after the set interval, plus an additional 10 to 15 seconds for the laser interval.
Important notes
-
If any of these conditions are not met, the Barrier will not activate the auto-close feature.
-
In some cases, the vehicle may not be parked directly over the sensor, which can prevent the sensor from being triggered.
Testing the auto-close feature
You can test the auto-close feature without a vehicle by placing an object, such as a cardboard box, in front of the sensor. This simulates the presence of a vehicle and allows you to check whether the auto-close function is working properly.
For a detailed demonstration, see the video linked below, which shows how to test auto-close mode successfully.
